This university has always been a rich intersect of diversity. It is one of our greatest strengths. We have students, faculty and staff from the smallest towns in rural Illinois to the largest metropolitan areas in the state and from 120 nations in the world. I have always thought that the more diverse the people are around the table for any discussion, whether you're; talking about gender, race, religion, age, mobility, geography, economics, etc., the richer the conversation becomes and, ultimately, the better the outcomes are for all of us.
